How are passions and ambitions cultivated?
A publication on how young women feel about their ambition.

This project presents a collection of experiences from young women (aged 16-17) reflecting on and how they perceive their growth, ambition, and passions. Through a series of interviews, they share personal insights into how their domestic environments have shaped their inner lives.

I chose to design the publication using visual hierarchies that represent collective responses through statistical percentages, creating impactful spreads paired with narratively driven imagery. The concise lettering is used to spark and encourage deeper reflection, and evoke a different way of thinking.

Red was used to signify passion and urgency, while a schoolbook-style typeface provided familiarity and clarity. Some spreads, such as the one featuring text on curving paths, symbolise the non-linear journey of ambition and growth. Others, like the megaphone layout, were designed to encourage togetherness empowerment, positioning each girl not only as a dreamer but also as a potential mentor.
