A hanger spends most of its life in a closet—quiet, hidden, unnoticed. But when it steps out, it carries something forward: a garment, a message, a moment of self-expression. This project invites women to do the same—to bring forward the parts of themselves usually kept in the dark and wear them with pride.

 

Using the hanger as a metaphor for hidden potential, this conceptual piece explores themes of identity, visibility, and liberation. Inspired by the idea that women often tuck away their most authentic selves, the project reframes the hanger as a platform for bold self-expression.

Targeted at women in their mid-20s, the work addresses how fashion trends can blur individuality at a time of self-discovery. The piece features the empowering quote: "Express your soul through every thread you wear," 
which hangs from the hanger in segmented, typographic panels. Each word is treated as a wearable component, forming a typographic 'dress' that speaks directly to the wearer and the viewer.

Designed using a strong contrast of black and cream, the visuals create a bold, direct impact while maintaining elegance.

This project encourages women to reclaim their fashion identity as a form of creative expression, rather than conformity. It’s a reminder that what we wear is more than fabric. t’s language, mood, and soul made visible.
